Penny Taylor is an Australian broker basketball player. She presently plays for the Phoenix Mercury in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
She was innate Penelope Jane Taylor in May 24, 1981 in Melbourne, Australia.
Australian Basketball
Taylor played for the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport) during 1997-98.
Taylor played for Dandenong Rangers in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) from 1998 to 2002. She led a league within scoring by owning Xxv.Fivesome points by the game & steals by owning Two.Quint steals by a game when you took the 2000-01 year.
She was known as a WNBL's "Most Valuable Player" when you took a 2000-01 year & was selected to the WNBL 100%-Star 5 team. She was besides the member of the 1999 WNBL championship team.
WNBA career
She was selected per Cleveland Rockers in a first circular (Eleventh overall) in the period of the annual WNBA Draft in April 20, 2001. She starred for a Rockers for terzetto seasons until the team folded due to fiscal difficulties.
Inside January 2004, the WNBthe held a dispersal draft, where a league's existent teams selected previous players from either a Rockers team. Taylor wwhen selected as a number 1 overall pick per Phoenix Mercury.
Olympics
In the 2004 Summer Olympics, Taylor was a member of the Australian women's five that won a silver medal.
